The Arkansas Traveller 100 is one of the country’s oldest 100 milers, and thankfully it’s remained largely unchanged over its 27 years.   It’s a race that many come back to run year after year, thanks largely in part to its atmosphere, gorgeous setting, and unbeatable support.

There’s an indescribable magic surrounding 100 milers, and I’ve always felt that old school Polaroid pictures had a special way of capturing moments in a dreamy, if not surreal way.  While I wouldn’t be able to race AT100 this year, I wanted to document my friends’ journeys through the magic of Polaroid film. As an added bonus, I’d have the instant prints to hand to the runners at the finish line as a memento.  With my vintage 90’s Polaroid Spectra Camera in tow, I made the road trip back to the Ouachita National Forest.

Needless to say, the 27th annual running of the Arkansas Traveller was truly magical.
